Afternoon tea makes for a perfect treat this summer and with the sunshine finally starting to make an appearance here in the UK, one spot worth visiting is The Ivy Garden in London’s Chelsea. Located just off of the River Thames, The Ivy Garden combines luxury and casual with its posh twist on some British pub classics whilst also serving one of the most delicious afternoon teas.
Summer in the UK can be unpredictable yet when the sun is shining, the gardens offer an escape from the bustle of the city. The gardens are also ready for those chillier days with outdoors fires and blankets available.
One of the poshest fish finger sandwiches I’ve ever had!
And of course not forgetting the afternoon tea! Complete with freshly baked fruit scones, clotted cream, strawberries and homemade strawberry jam. Cream team is served between 3pm and 5pm and will set you back £8.75.
Taking into account potential travelling expenses as well as food prices, a trip to The Ivy Garden can be slightly on the pricey side. However, considering the location, the surroundings and the quality of the food, it really does make the perfect treat this summer.
Where are some of your favourite places for afternoon tea?
